filter to allow infrared photography?

I wanted to use a JVC everio GZ-m100 as a paintball marker scope, but I was wondering if there was a commercially available filter which made the camera work as if there was no filter in the lens assembly. I will be using 9 high-output infrared LED’s for the light source.

No – you can’t negate an IR rejection filter with another filter. Things like the Hoya R72 allow IR through and reject visible light, but that doesn’t help. It may be possible to have the IR filter removed, but you need to make sure that there’s enough focusing adjustment (IR doesn’t focus in the same place as visible light).

Over the next fourteen years, she produced more than a thousand strikingly original and often controversial images. Her searching portraits of her friends and acquaintances, including Alfred Tennyson and Charles Darwin, have been called the world’s first close-ups. This biography casts new light on the artist’s links with the leading cultural figures of her time and on the techniques she used to achieve her distinctive style. It is published to coincide with a travelling exhibition of Cameron’s photographs that will be on display at the National Portrait Gallery, London, and the National Museum of Photography, Film and Televison, Bradford, England, in spring 2003 and will open at the Getty Museum in October 2003.
