Mark Lynd (CISSP - ISSAP, ISSMP, PMP, CE|H) is the President of FireScope, Inc.,a revolutionary Business Service Management company dedicated to simplifying IT operations for businesses of any size. Mark is originator of the FireScope technology and solution and began developing it nearly three years ago and continues to architect and drive innovation into the FireScope line with the excellent FireScope operations team.

Mark was formerly the Vice President and Global Chief Technology Officer for Hudson Advisors. As Global Chief Technology Officer, he oversaw the information technology, assurance, standards and architecture for Hudson Advisors and Lone Star Funds (Hudson manages operations for Lone Star Funds). Mark and his team were responsible for securing the technology infrastructure that helped scale Lone Star Funds and Hudson Advisors 'incredible growth and enabled continued global expansion that spanned seven data centers supporting numerous offices in Asia, North America and Europe.

Prior to Hudson Advisors, Mark served in various executive/senior management and technical roles for companies such as Metromedia, Perot Systems, Amerada Hess, Crop Production Services, Vectrix and GTE. He has over 19+ years of experience in information technology and assurance.

An Ernst & Young’s "Entrepreneur of Year – Southwest Region" Finalist in 2000, Mark also served on the board of directors for Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business and was named as one of D Magazine’s Internet Top 50 Professionals. He presented the Doak Walker Award on ESPN’s College Football Awards Show to a national television audience. Mark has spoken at numerous events focusing mainly on information assurance and technology and has been quoted by numerous publications including Wall Street Journal, Information Week, eWeek, CIO Magazine, The Dallas Morning News, Computer World, Computer Reseller News, CSO Magazine, InfoWorld, The Dallas Business Journal and others.

Mark holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Tulsa. He holds numerous industry certifications including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from ISC2, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (ISSAP) certification from ISC², Certified Information Systems Security Professional (ISSMP) certification from ISC², the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) certification from the EC-Council in addition to others.

Mark is a member of several professional organizations including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, Inc.(ISC)² and Control Association (ISACA).

Mark served honorably in the United States Army as a paratrooper in the 3rd Ranger Battalion, 2/187th Airborne and the 82d Airborne.
